Your privacy and optional analytics

Updated September 28, 2026. Contact info@fromusto.you about privacy or your content.

You choose

Analytics are off until you allow them. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Use Analytics preferences below to change your choice. This does not affect making or watching a gift.

What we count

With permission, PostHog receives counts of public page visits, named button clicks, and gift milestones: creation, preview, checkout, successful payment and finished videos. Events include broad package and duration categories and the application environment. These are activity counts, not unique people or person-level funnels.

We send no names, emails, form text, uploaded files, messages, video contents, gift links, query strings, access tokens, passwords or verification codes. We do not record sessions, automatically capture interactions, or send raw error reports. Public page tracking uses a fixed list of known pages; private gift pages are excluded. FromUs forwards events from its server without forwarding your IP address or browser details to PostHog.

Finding and fixing errors

With your analytics permission, we send limited browser error reports to PostHog. Browser privacy signals override that permission. We also report unexpected server and background-job errors to help keep FromUs working. Reports contain the error type, code locations, application version, environment and a general page pattern. We remove error messages and private parts of addresses before sending them. Reports do not include your name, email, form answers, gift contents or recordings. We do not record sessions or build profiles from errors.

Gift milestones and changing your choice

Optional gift analytics start only for new gifts created after you allow analytics. Turning analytics off also stops future milestone delivery for gifts you can manage in this browser. For a gift managed on another device, open its organizer link there and turn analytics off, or contact support. Events already counted cannot be linked back to your identity. Some queued events may already be in flight when you change your choice.

Storage and service providers

A first-party preference cookie stores allowed or denied for six months. We do not create analytics user profiles or persistent analytics identifiers. The product still needs essential cookies for private organizer access, and browser storage for recording drafts. Hosting, storage, payment and email providers process the information needed to operate your gift. Read about gift access, storage and deletion.

Our PostHog project is hosted in the United States. Analytics delivery is optional and best effort. Provider outages or browser blocking can reduce counts. We never treat a checkout click as a payment.
