Can I upload a MOV from my phone?

Some MOV files from phones work directly. FromUs may prepare a compatible copy on your device before uploading it. Your original file is unchanged.

Other MOV files need to be saved as MP4 first. If the app asks you to export, choose MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio in your video editor, or record a fresh message in FromUs. H.264 and AAC are the video and audio settings the app needs; changing only the letters at the end of a file name will not convert it.

My file is too large or too long

Trim it to the allowed length, export a smaller copy, or record directly in FromUs. The uploaded file must meet the limits before the organizer can trim it in the dashboard.

Does a file extension guarantee it will work?

No. The video inside the file must also be readable and compatible. FromUs checks the file before you submit it and verifies the upload afterward. If it cannot be read, the page explains whether to export another copy or use browser recording.

If a preview says the video has no audio track, you can choose another file or deliberately confirm the silent version. An audio track is not proof that voices are loud enough, so play the preview and listen before submitting. Check that the picture is upright too; if it appears sideways, export an upright MP4 copy first.
